Recently, MSG Sphere, a spherical immersive experience venue located in Las Vegas, USA, was "lit for trial operation" for the first time. The visual three-dimensional impact of the LED giant ball screen quickly made it a "global Internet celebrity", rushing to major social media and hot searches.
It is reported that this LED spherical screen called MSG Sphere is not only ornamental, but also functional. The internal design of the spherical screen is full of sense, covering an area of 81,300 square meters, with 17,600 seats, all connected to high-speed Internet, and another 2,400 stations, which can accommodate nearly 20,000 people. The main concept of the design is "immersive performance".
It can hold movies, music and sports activities, allowing audiences to enjoy an unprecedented audio-visual experience.
It also features one of the world's largest high-definition display screens, covering an area larger than three football fields. Its pixels are as high as 19,000 x 13,500, and viewers can see clear images up to 150 meters away.
Sphere's goal is to bring a "VR experience without glasses", using a giant 16K LED screen and 164,000 speakers surrounding the entire building to put the audience in an immersive audio-visual experience that is different from the past.
The scene releases corresponding scents according to different activity themes, and then brings the audience an all-round three-dimensional experience from multiple dimensions such as vision, touch, and smell.
The Sphere is not just a screen or a billboard, it is a living building unlike any that exists anywhere in the world. The giant screen of Sphere is a 360-degree canvas for telling brand stories, we can use imagination to create extraordinary visual experiences, and share stunning visual feasts with the world. Guy Barnett, senior vice president of Sphere, emphasized.
The theater can host a variety of events including immersive experiences, art exhibitions, concerts, award ceremonies, product launches, sporting events, residency programs, family performances and more.
The Sphere will open to the public on 29 September 2023, when Irish rock band U2 from Dublin will play a series of concerts there (25 concerts planned between 29 September and 16 December). But in addition to the concert, e-sports and MMA mixed martial arts have expressed great interest in the venue.
